Color Corrections

While making subtle, practical adjustments to the color of an image to make it "better" or "corrected" is something I enjoy doing, I didn't feel that it be worth dedicating a series to. Instead I went for something more attention-grabbing by making more extreme color changes to photos that have more or less a "known" or expected color space. The results, sometimes highly unnatural and even alien, still retain some essence of the original color relationships. When experimenting with Curves adjustments, it is indeed possible to achieve bizarre extremes, with hard color distinctions and abrasive contrast.

There were no masks used to target specific areas for adjustment, as I felt that would be "cheating" for my purposes here. Again, I wanted to preserve the color relationships so that if even one corner of the adjusted image didn't agree with the whole I would scrap the manipulation and go in a different direction.
